Welcome to the Human Rights in Childbirth Movement
Human Rights in Childbirth is a Hague-based stitching (organization) committed to political activism and legal advocacy for rights-based, evidence-based maternity care around the world. We are committed to the following goals:
1. Connecting people and organizations around the world who are working to investigate and advance human rights in childbirth.
2. Supporting dialogue amongst the stakeholders in health care systems, for the exploration of how to provide health care around childbirth that is safe, healthy and respectful.
3. Collecting and Sharing information about the law and facts relevant to HRiC.
4. Advocating for universal recognition of the fundamental human rights of birthing women and the realization of those rights in law and practice.
